Zhu Huan is a Felinoid Guardian-Hero and the guild master of the Lelang Wolf Cavalry on the Zhongyuan server.

He first appears in volume 9: Go East, Kanami!, although he does not appear in the anime's adaption of the volume. He plays a larger role in volume 11, Krusty, Tycoon Lord.

His birthday is February 4.[1]

Appearance[]

Zhu Huan is a tall, muscular and black-furred Felinoid sporting a cross-shaped scar on his left eye. Due to his race, his face is inhuman and closer to one of a black panther.

He dons a dark green cape with a grey fur collar and a deep blue armor that leaves his chest partially exposed.

Personality[]

Zhu Huan has been regarded as the people's hero for his helpful and caring nature. He is regarded as a great leader by his guild members and will help anyone should they need him.

He is openly disdainful of the power struggle that has taken hold of the Zhongyuan server, but acknowledges that staying on the move to avoid conflict is not a long-term solution.

Synopsis[]

Before the Catastrophe[]

After the Catastrophe[]

Go East arc[]

At some point after the Black Dragon was defeated by Kanami's Party and the Calamity Hurts incident, Zhu Huan finds an amnesiac Krusty atop Gumon, a large wolf. Believing the Yamato Adventurer to be an Ancient due to his being Level 95, Zhu Huang brings him to Hua Diao and the martenfolk at Bai Tao Shrine to be cared for before returning to his guild.

During a Guild War, Zhu Huan and some of his guildmates are making for Mount Lang Jun to intercept Adventurers from the Crimson King guild, aiming to prevent them from getting to perform the Coronation Ceremony and gaining control over the region. However, Zhu Huan ends up puzzled when he receives a report from his scouts already at the mountain: that the Crimson King party had not been coronated but instead had been completely wiped out by a half-raid ranked Nue that descended from the sky. Monsters of that rank had never before appeared in the zone of Mount Lang Jun, which makes Zhu Huan and his guild mates wonder what was going on.

After Taliktan transforms the Adventurer City of Shibuya into a raid zone and begins summoning Eternal Moths, some of those moths end up crossing the server and attacking Zhongyuan. In response, Zhu Huan mobilizes his guild to fend off the threat. At the behest of Chun Lu, he takes some of his subordinates to the bottom of the Sirius Grotto to assist Kanami's Party, providing the numbers needed to help Kanami defeat the Nue.

After Kanami's brief rendezvous with Shiroe using the communications equipment they had found deep within the grotto, Zhu Huan, his guildmates present, and Kanami's Party all go to the top of Mount Lang Jun, where they are "coronated" by Bucaphi. Although they all unleash their most powerful attacks on the Genius mastermind, she retreats to the moon before they can seriously hurt her.

Equipment[]

Zhu huan - sacred lance Sacred Lance: Reclining Dragon (神戟・臥龍): A huge, two-handed Fantasy-class lance with a unique shape that twists like a dragon lying on the ground. It's imbued with the strength of a dragon, the incarnation of a great river, and its power has two aspects: a violence that gouges out the ground and a fertility that cleanses impurity and grants blessings.
Zhu huan - lelang flag Lelang Wolf Cavalry Flag (楽浪狼騎兵旗): A brave yellow battalion flag that has characters and a running wolf mark—the guild's symbol—woven into it. A guild member who was an illustrator on Earth designed it and supervised its production, and it's popular both within and outside the guild.
Zhu huan - wolf crest lian bi Wolf Crest Lian Bi (狼紋連璧): An accessory in which many small discs of animal bone or precious stones are polished into a shine, then linked together like a rosary. In addition to improving the status of summoned Wolf-type monsters, when riding a mount, it's possible to reduce damage by breaking the discs.

Trivia[]

  • The character written on the guild's flag is 狼, or "wolf".

Etymology[]

  • Lián bì (連璧), in Chinese, refers to two joined jade discs and figuratively means the combination of two good things.[2]
