"Of course! I bought potatoes, and mayo."
Serara, Volume 8

[[Category:Human]] Serara is a seemingly young Human Druid-Housekeeper who is a part of the Crescent Moon Alliance. While she isn't generally strong, she appears to hold sufficient healing and cleaning prowess. She shows that she loves/admires Nyanta.

Appearance

Serara appears to be one of the youngest looking characters in the series. She has long red hair and a pink scarf with white and yellow stripes covering her neck. She also wears an orange top, a white and blue dress with a pink cloth tied on one side and a pair of brown shoes. She carries a red staff as her primary weapon.

Naotsugu describes her as the kind of girl who was third prettiest in her class but received the most the love letters.[2]

Personality

Serara is meek and naive and flusters easily at the thought of things such as love and marriage (specifically regarding to Nyanta). At the start of the series, she cowers in the face of dangerous people such as Demiqas and can be indecisive in a battle. She is shown to be easily bored; while hiding from Demiqas at Nyanta's house, she spends most of her free time cleaning.

She also has a strong sense of duty and obligation.  For example, at the welcome home party thrown by the Crescent Moon Alliance, she refuses to relax and instead insists on serving food to guild members as thanks for the safe rescue.[3]

Synopsis

Prior to the Catastrophe

Serara was in her second year of high school, making her 16-17 years of age.

Rescuing Serara arc

After being trapped in Elder Tale, Serara finds herself alone in Susukino and is being chased by members of the Brigandia guild. Demiqas, who had given her the chance to become his servant rather than be sold off to slavery[4], was particularly enraged that she had managed to escape by distracting him with her Myconid spell.[5]. She calls her guild master Maryelle for help but is found and is about to be captured. However, she is saved by a werecat named Nyanta who brings her to his home.

She notices how fast her Housekeeper subclass levels up and realizes that all she had been doing since being rescued is cleaning Nyanta's house. She muses that she has become something of a housewife to Nyanta and flusters at the thought when Nyanta walks in.[6]

In Escape, Serara and Nyanta met up with Shiroe and was surprised to find that the two knew each other. She was relieved to find that she'd be able to return to Akihabara and even more so when Nyanta made the decision to go with them. She held doubts in Shiroe when he led them out of the city to fight Brigandia, and was shocked to see Shiroe and Nyanta so confident in the face of danger. During the battle, she began to doubt her abilities and felt her healing power wasn't enough, but with Shiroe's words: “If you can’t do something, then don’t. Focus on what you can", she regained her confidence and healed Nyanta and Naotsugu. When Demiqas attempted to defeat Shiroe when he could, Serara stepped in and killed him with her staff. In the Light Novel, Nyanta kills Demiqas in his previous attack.[7]

Round Table Alliance arc

Shortly after her succesfull rescue, her entire guild held a welcome back party. Desppite the party being held for her, she spent most of it serving drinks and food to her fellow guild members. Later when The Crescent Moon Refreshment Stand was established as part of shiroe's plan to breath new life into Akihabara, she provided assistance to run business, mostly by handing out flyers or helping keeping the customers in line. During the Meeting for the formation of the Round Table Alliance, she stood in the conference chamber alongside Henrietta and Nyanta while the meeting was taking place, occasionally asking questions as to what the group where discussing about. After the formation of the Council had been established and order started to come back to Akihabara her guild moved to a new and larger guild hall and she was helping unpack some of the guilds belongings into the guild hall such as a box of stuffed animals while wandering what Nyanta was up to at the time.

Equipment

Volume 1:

Serara's item 1 Oak Wand (オークのワンド): Oak Wand is the default weapon of all Druids. Although it does not have any special effects, it is sturdy and provides new players with enough power to defend themselves.[8]
Serara's item 2 Walnut Brooch (胡桃のブローチ) A simple brooch made of walnut that slightly increases defense when worn by a Druid. Males often use it to fasten their mantles while females use it to fasten their capes.[8]
Serara's item 3 Cleaning Set (お掃除セット) A set containing a broom, a dustpan, a dusting cloth, a pail and the like. It can bring glittering cleanliness from small rooms to large mansions alike. Its capabilities are quite high despite its cheap price, a necessity for a Housekeeper.[8]

Volume 8:

Forest sages staff Forest Sage's Staff: A rare item drop from a tree-type boss killed without using fire. Since it can't be obtained if fire-based skills were used, Rundelhouse, their main attacker, was greatly troubled. Maximum MP and all attribute resistances except for fire are increased.
Rainment of blessed rain Raiment of Blessed Rain: Clothes woven from threads created using rain after a drought. Increases the effect of nature-based skills, which Druids frequently use. Most importantly, it hides the curves of the body, which Serara wants to keep a secret.
Syaoran fang Syaoran Fang: Contract item obtained after a binding agreement with a wolf summon. Even though it's called a fang, it's round since it fell out of the mouth of a baby wolf still on its first set of teeth. Although the wolf's combat ability is still limited, it has numerous fans due to its sweet appearance.
