Yuta (ウタ?) is a human Samurai-Tailor from D.D.D and serves as Rieze's adjutant, as the two are friends in real life and work together well.[3][1] He later becomes the second-in-command of D3-Fu, one of the guilds in the D3-Hub established after D.D.D disbanded and restructured.
Like most of D.D.D's members, he originates from the Log Horizon fan fiction series D.D.D Diaries and, due to its popularity, was adopted into the official series.
Appearance[]

Yuta has short red hair, brown eyes, and is freckled. When fighting, he wears a mask over his eyes. He wears typical Samurai armor and wields two swords.
Personality[]
Because of an incidence with an evil woman who broke up his former guild, Yuta tends to be distrustful of women. Despite that, he is quite caring of his childhood friend Rieze, even going as far as checking up on her when it seemed as if she would break out of character (when she was trying to be a yamato nadeshiko).
Synopsis[]
Before the Catastrophe[]
He was in an unnamed guild which was forced to disband because of an evil woman, causing Yuta to become distrustful of most women. Rieze is his real-life childhood friend, and while she was trying to become a "proper maiden," Yuta would follow up on her when it looked like she would break out of character.[1]
Fallen Guardian arc[]
Yuta and Kozaru accompany Rieze to the Akiba Raid Party's training grounds to help Akatsuki learn an Overskill. After they knock her down during training, she pushes herself up and tells them to have another go, causing Yuta to look at Kozaru questioningly, who just sighs.[4]
Collapse of the Round Table arc[]
After D.D.D decides to disband, Yuta joins D3-Fu, which researches military strategies and techniques and runs training camps, and serves as the second-in-command to Richou.[5]
Ever since the Catastrophe, Yuta has been trying to match against Soujiro Seta, the strongest Samurai on the server. However, he's lost all six matches so far—he's got a long way to go.

Yuta makes an appearance in the mobile game.
Equipment[]
Yuta wields many different kinds of blades and changes his equipment based on the situation. Because of the amount of repair he needs done, he's become good friends with Tatara.
